Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I use MedShare?
A: You can use MedShare when you visit one of the MedShare
     Partner sites.

Q: Does MedShare fill prescriptions with brand name drugs?
A: Only if the doctor requests a brand name.
The pharmacist will usually use generic drugs.

Q: I go to a private doctor's office, and I don't want to change.
     Can I still use MedShare?
A: MedShare was set up to help people with low incomes and no
insurance. Many MedShare clients and people who are eligible
for MedShare use MedShare partner sites for their medical care.
You can also obtain medication from MedShare by visiting the
     MedShare pass-through sites.

Q: Does the patient have to pick up the medication at the partner
     site?
A: No, the decision to have the medications picked up or mailed is
determined by the partnersite. The site has the option of being
a pass through. If the site does not choose to liscense
medication, a Terminal Distribution Liscense can be applied for.
